Cromnibus Stalled; Gov't Shutdown Looms?

With "cromnibus" negotiations dragging in the House Monday, RollCall reports lawmakers are preparing a one-to-two-day spending bill to fund the government until they bridge their differences. According to Politico bickering between conservative Texas firebrand Rep. Jeb Hensarling and New York Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer over a deal to renew a terrorism insurance program has emerged as a last-minute hurdle Congress must clear as it averts a government shutdown and gets out of town for the year.
