There are small holdings that are located at the foot of the highway or in very rural zones; including his ranch at Villa Purificacion measuring 50 hectares and the biggest confiscated by the PGR.

At the foot of the highway in the rural zones of the town of Villa Purificacion there are located some houses where the leader of the CJNG passed the time, but what the inhabitants cant believe is that State and Municipal Authorities didn't know that Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, was to be found there. Actually these small holdings were defended by Federal Government.

The properties of the Capo were know to all in this area, given its proximity to the villages of Villa Purificacion and Lo Arado.

According to Federal Authorities, his properties are located in the delegations of La Eca, Lo Arado and Villa Vieja. The last of the three is the point where, on the past 1st of May armed civilians brought down a helicopter of the Army and killed eight Military on board and one Federal Policeman.

"The Authorities knew, they could see the people who arrived in pickups at this ranch. Also, when the vehicles arrived there were men stationed outside the ranch, in the road, guarding. I have lived only a little while in the his place but it keeps happening, detailed a farmer who preferred to maintain anonymity.

He related what occurred in the immediate surroundings of the largest ranch confiscated by the PGR, which is at kilometre 5 of the road that goes from Villa Purificacion to the town of Barra de Navidad, and that crosses the village of Lo Arado.

It is a property that measures approximately 50 hectares that two weeks ago it was confiscated by the PGR as part of the investigation PGR/SEIDO/UIEPCS/228/2015.

From the outside you can see a construction that is half the ranch, with fruit trees and also various stables.

The property lights are in disrepair, full of weeds, with no one watching the property. Given the magnitude of the small holding, for the villagers they find it incredible that none of the Jalisco Authorities knew where to find El Mencho when he was at this place.

Another Property, that is believed to have served as a guards barracks for the Cartel Capo, it is two kilometres from the Ranch, close to El Carmesi and a few metres from the village Lo Arado.

It is known as El Palmar ranch, it has a kiosk, three farms, a luxury swimming pool and Salamancan linen, and a large parking area, some stables.

In the delegation of La Eca, in Villa Purificacion, SEIDO located another extensive terrain of 20 hectares, that they believe also belongs to El Mencho.

To arrive at the village it is necessary to travel 23 kilometres, between the road and the breach. For year La Eca was one of the bastions of Rafael Caro Quintero, leader and founder of the Guadalajara Cartel, who made various gifts of land and property to his colleagues when he was detained.

But for now this zone is dominated by the Nueva Generacion.
