Dear Fellow Conservative, The Heritage Foundation is expanding its presence in Washington. You may be wondering why, and what this means for you. Here’s exactly what our new Freedom Center on Capitol Hill means for your conservative principles: 24 times Heritage policy experts testified before Congress this year. The Freedom Center is located just blocks from the Capitol, enabling our experts to quickly take our message to lawmakers. 13,253 people attended Heritage’s 209 public events last year, including members of Congress, congressional staffers, White House staff, media, professors, students, and Heritage supporters like you. The Freedom Center will provide more space for meetings and other events. 400,000 grassroots activists help our sister organization, Heritage Action for America, reach congressmen in their districts. Heritage Action will have space in the Freedom Center. 180 young conservatives graduate from our internship program every year. The Freedom Center enhances our unique on-site housing for members of the Young Leaders Program, who go on to build the conservative movement. 33,000,000 people visited Heritage's news site, The Daily Signal, last year. The Freedom Center will expand our ability to bypass the mainstream media and reach the American people with a conservative message. Millions of Americans are reached each month through our policy experts’ radio and television appearances. The Freedom Center will expand our ability to educate moderate and independent Americans that conservative ideas are the solution.
