IT Security: Who Watches The Watchers?
The situation with D.C.'s IT security is huge mess. Yusuf Acar, acting chief security officer following Vivek Kundra's exit to take the Federal CIO position, is now in the hands of the FBI on bribery charges from an alleged under the table deal with security vendor AITC. Kundra's not been implicated but has taken a leave of absence, presumably until this shakes out and it's clear he wasn't involved. Sending an HTML Formatted Email Using PowerShell
So, I have been working on building a PowerShell based notification engine for a favorite MSFT product of mine called Certificate Lifecycle Manager (kidding!). Anyhow, I wanted to make the emails pretty (after all, everyone loves pretty emails). To do this, I figured the best method was send out HTML formatted emails. The Power of Federation
I had a great experience using OCS I wanted to share. I was in a meeting with a client the other day and we got a little off topic.They asked a Cisco VoIP question I didn't immediately know the answer to. However, I did know a few people in Microsoft's UC group that had recently moved over from Cisco. And since my company is federated with Microsoft I could easily see who was online and available.
