Vendor: Cisco IOS server backdoor may have been planted:  Eweek is reporting that a security vendor is questioning whether the IOS FTP Server vulnerability Cisco reported last week could be an intentionally planted backdoor, rather than one that was inadvertently programmed into IOS.

Force10 says it has Cisco Catalyst killer, 05/14/07:  Force10 Networks this week launched a mid-range Ethernet switch chassis aimed at taking on boxes such as the Cisco Catalyst 6500 and Foundry Networks' Super X series at the LAN edge and aggregation layer.
