Hackers make progress towards unlocking iPhone, 07/03/07: Efforts to unlock Apple's iPhone continued on Monday, with hackers claiming "very significant progress."

Trend Micro enhances InterScan with reputation services, 07/02/07: Trend Micro on Monday announced it’s enhanced its InterScan Gateway Security Appliance line with filtering protection provided through Trend’s in-the-cloud reputation services to identify dangerous Web sites and e-mail sources.

Nokia: Our cell phones can be hacked, but it isn’t easy, 07/02/07: Can cell phones be hacked? As that question is debated in the wake of a Tacoma, Wash., family claiming the cell phones it uses have been taken over by hackers, Nokia is weighing in. The company says it is possible — but very difficult — to hack into and manipulate cell phones based on the S60 Symbian platform it developed.

Stalker terrorizes family via cell phone?, 06/29/07: The Kuykendall family in Fircrest, Wash., claims that a hacker has been stalking them for four months through their camera phones, using the microphones in the phones to listen to them and the cameras to watch. They say that even when they turn off the phones, the hacker can turn them back on.

EU, U.S. sign passenger data sharing deal, 07/02/07: Critics of last week's agreement allowing European passengers' personal data to be shared with U.S. authorities have just under a month to reshape the accord before it comes into force, said Stavros Lambrinidis, vice president of the European Parliament's civil liberties committee Monday.
