SEPARATING DATA FROM THE UI

Careers: It's not a topic Bob Lewis typically covers in his Advice Line
column, but he does write to serve the readers. And one reader, UI Guy,
asked about managing projects too religiously -- in particular,
separating interface code from data so as to avoid tying the data to a
specific presentation. "Perhaps that makes sense much of the time, but
in the case of a very large project with lots of similar items, I
