QUALCOMM MANEUVERS AROUND COURT'S CHIP SET BAN

Qualcomm is shipping four new wireless chip sets that do not infringe on
a video encoding patent held by competitor Broadcom. Qualcomm expects
the WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) handsets containing
the chips to go on sale in the U.S. by April, it said Wednesday.

THE TOP 10 UNDERREPORTED TECHNOLOGY STORIES OF 2007

trends shaping the enterprise technology world is the best in the
business. But not even InfoWorld (not to mention our competitors) can

WHAT THE TRUE GEEK REALLY WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS (IT'S NOT TOO LATE!)

Christmas means many things to many people, but the joy of giving to
others as well as to oneself is universal. Sometimes, though, those
presents from others don't quite fulfill your own cravings. Thus the
days after Christmas often involve satisfying those unmet desires. For
IT pros and technology lovers, those desires include gadgets and cool
apps.
