He immediately got to work trying to undo the damage from the past 8 years and working to take action to face our current economic crisis. It was also a big week in the world of data breaches. TJX finally held their "Customer Appreciation Day" sale to repay customers for their loyalty after the massive data breach they were responsible for a couple years ago, and Heartland Payment Systems announced a new data breach which appears to dwarf the TJX breach in the magnitude of potentially compromised accounts.   In the Spotlight Heartland Data Breach: Crisis or Hype? The world came to a stand still on Tuesday for Inauguration Day. Millions lined the National Mall in Washington DC. Tens of millions of viewers across the United States and around the world tuned in to the events on TV. Millions more taxed Internet bandwidth by watching live broadcasts over the Web. The swearing in of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States was the only thing anyone was focused on that day. Heartland Payment Systems was apparently counting on it.
