Apple probes iPhone battery woes Continued complaints by iPhone owners about fast-draining batteries have prompted Apple to ask some users to install power-logging software on their smartphones in an effort to diagnose the problem. FCC Net Neutrality Rules Are A Win Consumers The FCC's new "Net Neutrality" proposal, which would prevent carriers from slowing or blocking Internet traffic as they see fit, is a huge win for entrepreneurs and consumers, and a major setback for telecom giants such as AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast. Colleges Get Head Start on New 802.11n Standard The IEEE this month finally ratified the 802.11n wireless standard, long after Brandeis University and the University of California, San Diego started installing equipment based on draft versions of the specification.
