Microsoft releases beta of upgraded Security Essentials
Microsoft has released a beta for the next version of its free security software, Security Essentials. The company has improved the performance of the antimalware engine, including its clean-up capabilities, according to Brandon LeBlanc, a Windows communication manager at Microsoft. Another improvement is integration with the company's Internet Explorer browser, which LeBlanc said provides protection against Web-based threats. Read More
