Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, Mobile Network Connectivity, Contact Center Consolidation, and Business Requirements.
Welcome to the VoicesOn Friday Roundup. This week, we bring you white papers on Virtualization, Disaster Recovery, Mobile Network Connectivity, Contact Center Consolidation, and Business Requirements.
Is Your Data Center Ready For Virtualization?
This paper discusses important challenges that may be associated with virtualized environments-such as variable power consumption, fewer servers, inadequate power and cooling infrastructure and suboptimal efficiency overall. Each challenge is examined in depth, and the reader is provided with technological solutions that are practical and affordable. Armed with this information, IT pros will be able to realize the full potential of electrical savings offered by virtualization, while ensuring that power capacity meets demand.

Enhance Network Connectivity for Users on the Move
Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) are easily the most exciting development in computing devices in the post-laptop era. The key considerations for using MIDs on a network are the same as for any other device on a wireless LAN. Security remains a paramount consideration. If network administrators cannot ensure the security of both network communications and data storage with new devices, adoption will be limited. This paper will discuss several tools that are available to provide granular access control for MIDs without dramatically increasing the cost and complexity of the configuration process.
Contact Center Consolidation and Centralization
In this web event, industry experts Drew Kraus, Research Vice President, Worldwide Enterprise Communications Applications, Gartner, Brad Herrington, Sr. Manager, Solutions Marketing, Interactive Intelligence, Don Van Doren, President, Vangard Communications and Tom Fisher, Director, Systems Engineering, Interactive Intelligence will share their insight and practical hands-on experience about how to build a successful plan for consolidating and centralizing your contact center and enterprise communications.
Executive Guide to Understanding Business Requirements
This white paper is structured so that each page is its own "mini-white-paper" but each is also part of a total look at better structuring requirements documents, processes and content completeness. At the end of this paper is a one page "tear-out" summary which is both a shortened distillation of the content, and a diagnostic tool to start a peer discussion on your organization's performance.
Thank you,

Currently I work for Dell and thought your article on virtualization is quite impressive. I think virtualization, in computing, is the creation of a virtual (rather than actual) version of something, such as a hardware platform, operating system, a storage device or network resources.
