We're getting together because contributions from special interests, corporations, and lobbyists are overpowering individual voters in New York elections. Weak disclosure requirements compound the problem, and middle-class New Yorkers lose out to special-interest groups with more money and power. But even if every single New Yorker supported fair elections, it wouldn't matter if we didn't organize. Our strength as a movement has always lied in the willingness of regular people to speak out and take action -- and your participation is critical.
