Joe -- In 29 states, there are no state laws specifically protecting LGBT individuals from discrimination in the workplace. If that makes you angry, stand up right now and say it's time to change it. Here's a way to think about what that means: What the Senate is voting on this week is designed to fix this problem. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) was first introduced 17 years ago -- the bill would provide federal protection against workplace discrimination based on who you are or who you love. Any day now, ENDA will be up for a vote in the U.S. Senate. It's about time. A lot of OFA supporters are passionate about this -- it's a problem that affects so many people we know and love. Today's an important day to stand up and show your support for ENDA -- add your name right now: http://my.barackobama.com/Pass-ENDA Thanks -- more soon, Devin Devin Driscoll Organizing for Action ---------------- The other side will spend millions to maintain the status quo. We're fighting for change -- chip in $5 or more to support OFA today. | |
