Urgent: Make a call for Illinois marriage equality

Organizing for Action
Joe --

This is big: We're heading into the final three days of the Illinois legislature's special session -- and marriage equality could be coming up for a vote in the state House as soon as today.

This is our final push to make marriage equality the law of the land in Illinois.

Right now, no matter where you live, your state representative needs to hear from the folks who support marriage equality.

Take a few minutes to look up your state representative's number and make a call right now to show your support for marriage equality for all loving couples in Illinois.

Then, after your call, tell us how it went.

I am so proud that a majority of Illinoisans want this to happen -- and we're so, so close to making history.

The bill has already passed the state Senate, and with Governor Pat Quinn's pledge to sign the bill into law as soon as it arrives on his desk, the House vote is the very last hurdle to finally achieving marriage equality in Illinois.

I don't have to tell you how big this moment is for same-sex couples and their families.

Let's make Illinois the 15th state to support the right for all loving couples to marry.

Love is love. Pick up the phone and tell your state representative that they should support this important bill:
