And when I look back on what the last 11 months were like for our party, I can say one thing for certain: 2013 was a damn good year to be a Democrat. We won huge, historic elections in races across the country, we reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act, we expanded affordable, quality health care options, and just this week we took steps to overcome Republican obstruction in the Senate by reforming the filibuster. None of this would have been possible without supporters like you, Joe. And frankly, we'd all like a chance to thank you in person.
