Tonight: Join our call with Gene Sperling

Organizing for Action
Joe --

Last night, President Obama put expanding opportunity for all Americans at the top of the national agenda.

He took a stand against economic inequality last night, and showed he wasn't just talking the talk when he announced a raise in the minimum wage for federal contractors. As organizers, this fight is just beginning.

That's why we're excited to be joined on tonight's policy call by a special guest: Gene Sperling, director of the National Economic Council and assistant to the President for economic policy.

Join us on the phone at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time to discuss the President's address, and where we go from here in the fight for economic opportunity.

Millions of Americans work full time at minimum wage jobs -- struggling just to make ends meet. For these people, raising the minimum wage isn't a nice luxury. It's about groceries, the heating bill, school books, and getting to and from work.

Raising the minimum wage is the right thing to do, of course. But it's good for our economy, too. Over 600 economists, including seven Nobel laureates, recently signed a letter in support of a $10.10 minimum wage.

You heard about this and more from the President last night -- and tonight, we have a special opportunity to hear from one of the country's leading experts on the economy.

RSVP for our call with Gene Sperling and let's get to work:
