Held on this day was the ancient Celtic's Samhain harvest feast (the precursor to today's Halloween). The date later became associated with All Hallows Eve, honoring the Christian saints. On this day in 1926, magician Harry Houdini passed over to the Other Side. Her findings have been verified in clinical studies, among them the prospective study conducted in Holland and published in Lancet medical journal. Monday, November 3, 2014: First Half: Journalist David Quammen has made 18 trips to Africa since 1999 and has been studying the history of the Ebola virus for many years. In 2007, he wrote an article for National Geographic titled Deadly Contact, about an outbreak of Ebola in a remote village. He'll discuss the up-to-the minute developments in the Ebola crisis.
