| | Dear Friend, I'm outraged that Hollywood executives are making a mockery of this upcoming Valentine's Day! That's the day that they have chosen to release the pornographic 50 Shades of Grey movie in theaters. Unfortunately, the soaring pre-release ticket sales numbers suggest that millions of people are being duped by misleading marketing campaign behind the film, which is selling the tale about a sado-masochistic relationship between a young, vulnerable woman and an older billionaire, as a "romance." Frankly, I don't think there's nothing "romantic" about the kind of graphic sexual exploitation portrayed in the book and the upcoming movie. And that's why we need to fight back! Fortunately a petition pledging to boycott the 50 Shades of Grey movie is picking up steam at LifePetitions.com. I hope you will take a moment, right now, to sign the petition, and then share it with your friends and family! Here's the link: https://www.lifesitenews.com/petitions/50-shades-boycott We need hundreds of thousands of people to sign this boycott pledge and to send a powerful message to the Hollywood executives behind the film that we will not reward them for peddling this kind of cheap smut! I don't know about you, but when I think of Valentine's Day, I think of a candlelit dinner, roses, a thoughtful gift, and some quality time with my significant other. What I don't think of is exploitation, sadism, and porn, all drawn from a poorly-written book that even some leading feminists have slammed as "50 Shades of Abuse." In fact, one infographic promoted on the leading feminist website Jezebel (hardly a bastion of conservative sexual values!), points out that the protagonist of the book, Christian Grey, has all the hallmarks of being an "abusive partner," including "sexual violence" and "jealousy and possessiveness." Nevermind the inherent problems with the kind of graphic sexuality that the movie contains! We simply can't let Hollywood hijack Valentine's Day like this. And perhaps just as importantly, we need to warn others who may be considering watching this movie about dangers it presents. So please, sign the boycott petition today, and then share it on Facebook and via e-mail. Again you can sign it right here: https://www.lifesitenews.com/petitions/50-shades-boycott For life and family, John Jalsevac Managing Editor LifePetitions.com LifeSiteNews.com P.S. Let's send an unmistakable message to Hollywood, that we will not reward them for promoting their dangerously distorted vision of sex and romance.
