Congress Preps Homeland Security Funding Plans

With a day to go before funding for the Department of Homeland Security runs out, Republicans in both chambers of Congress are quickly preparing legislation that would fund DHS only for the short term, reports the New York Times. With short-term funding, another showdown looms.
