Patent overhaul bill moves forward in Congress, 05/16/07:  A subcommittee of the U.S. Congress has taken the first step toward overhauling the U.S. patent system by approving a patent reform bill Wednesday.

U.S. military bans access to social networking sites, 05/15/07:  The U.S. Department of Defense has blocked access to some social networking sites on its computers, saying use of the sites could clog the military's networks, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.
