	from Tony Bradley, CISSP-ISSAP You may have heard of a security feature in the Windows Vista operating system called UAC (User Account Control). It has been the subject of jokes in Apple Mac TV ads, and the much criticism from the industry at large. Personally, I do not have a problem with UAC. I think that the community should invest a little time in understanding the capabilities and functions of UAC and how to use it to provide the best balance between security and functionality. Some users simply want to turn it off though. I don't recommend doing so in most cases, but I have written a short guide to help you do so in Windows Vista Home and Windows Vista Home Premium if you choose to.
