This is the last print edition of the column, which debuted as a weekly column on Sept. 10, 2001 (weird, huh?). It was around before occasionally to fill extra pages, but it officially became a weekly column in the Technology Update section. Pleo dinosaur to ship in October Robotics vendor Ugobe announced today it is now taking online pre-orders for its Pleo robotic dinosaur, a "designer Life Form" that "will evolve through life stages and develop a unique personality based on interaction with its owner." The Pleo (pictured, photo by Mack Fraga Designs) will cost $349 and will begin shipping in October, Ugobe said.
