Barrier to quick and easy access for Network World Buyer's Guides is removed

Network World

Product Test and Buyer's Guide

Product Test and Buyer's Guide, 10/11/07

By Christine Burns

* Number of spam-stopping tools offered by IronMail’s messaging security product: 23
* Starting price for IronPort’s messaging security appliance: $2639
* Types of audit compliance checks ProofPoint’s messaging security gateway supports: 10
* The ability to tap into the Network World’s revamped Messaging Security Buyer’s Guide to compare thousands of product details in this ever changing market: Priceless

And now it’s painless as well. Network World has removed the previously enforced registration gate which used to mandate that readers cough up their business contact information before being allowed to dive deep into our Buyer’s Guide product listings.

Taking down the gate was one parameter for making our Buyer’s Guides more accessible to more readers. This new accessibility runs hand in hand with our new Buyer’s guide format as well. Where we’ve previously only offered detailed product listings, we’ve recently built out our Buyer’s Guides to comprise informative articles that will help walk readers through the processes of researching, buying and deploying products in more than 70 active IT markets.

In my opinion, Riverbed has the best of breed solution for application acceleration. I work, as an engineer, for a Cisco partner and we are also partnered with Riverbed, because they have the best WAN optimization technology out there at this point. I have a lot of comparison data on all the competitors if anyone is interested. Forrester, Gartner, etc...
