Cisco to buy policy management vendor for $100 million , 11/01/07: Cisco this week announced an agreement to acquire Securent, a provider of policy management software for enterprises, for $100 million. Securent is privately held and based in Mountain View, Calif. The company’s distributed policy platform lets enterprises administer, enforce, and audit access to data, communications, and applications in heterogeneous IT application environments, Cisco says.

Cisco expands in India with WiPro alliance, 10/31/07: Cisco today will announce a strategic alliance with Indian integrator Wipro to jointly develop networked IT systems for global markets.

Cisco to spend $16B in China over next five years, 11/01/07: Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers announced on Thursday $16 billion in new investments in China, including manufacturing, investment and educational programs.
