National Poster Making Competition For School (SUPARCO Pakistan's National Space Agency )

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, SUPARCO Pakistan’s National Space Agency is organizing a national level poster-making competition. Students from the registered schools of Pakistan are invited to design a poster on the theme “Next 50 Years in Space”

Guidelines Eligibility Students of registered schools between the ages of 8 to 11 years. Registration School wishing to participate in this poster competition must complete and submit a Registration Form to am.sc@suparco.gov.pk or at the postal address given below, before the deadline: Postal Address: GH Coord (Training Div) SUPARCO Sector 28, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Scheme 33, Off University Road, Karachi – 75270. P. O. Box: 8402 Email: am.sc@suparco.gov.pk Acknowledgement of receipt of the registration form will be sent to all schools to confirm participation in the competition. Registration Guidelines • The form is easily downloadable from the link at the bottom of the page. • The form should be filled in block letters. • Signature of the principal with official seal should be affixed. Poster Guidelines • Poster should be on paper of min. A3 size (11” x 16”) and max. A2 size (16” x 22”) • Means of drawing / painting: pencil, crayon, water color, oil painting, computer drawing, etc. Photos are not acceptable. Posters should be 2 dimensional only (no elevation or pasting of any kind allowed) • The poster must not include words or slogans and must not represent any particular individual, organization, or brand name. • The theme “Next 50 Years in Space” should be the main focus of the poster. • No text (including Theme Title, Name, etc) should be written on the front of the poster. • Each poster must have the name of the participant, age, school’s name and address in English on the back of the poster. • Duly filled Entry Submission form should be submitted along with the entry. General Guidelines • Only one poster per school is to be submitted for competition. • A poster should be an individual effort of a child. • The deadlines should be strictly followed, which is 7 April 2011 for registration and 27 April 2011 for entry submission. Competitor Recognition • First, second, and third place winners will receive prizes consisting of a certificate, and monetary prize as follows: § 1st Prize: Rs. 15,000/- § 2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000/- § 3rd Prize: Rs. 5,000/= • The top twenty posters will be presented in Exhibition during World Space Week. • Digital copies of Top 3 winning posters could be sent for International poster competition. Posters submitted to SUPARCO will become the property of SUPARCO.
