Joe -- Last summer, my sisters and I had the time of our lives traveling the country for a project that became known as Nuns on the Bus. We went from Iowa to Pennsylvania, going through seven other states and D.C., raising awareness about people living in poverty, and asking Congress to do better in their budget for the most vulnerable in our society. This summer, we're hitting the road again for a 6,500 mile, 15-state bus tour around comprehensive immigration reform, and we're proud to have the support of Organizing for Action. We'll be in Jersey City on Wednesday, May 29th, -- can you meet us there and lend your support? What: Join the Nuns on the Bus in Jersey City Where: North Cove Field Jersey City, NJ 07305 When: Wednesday, May 29th 10:00 am We're starting our road trip this year looking out on Ellis Island, and ending three weeks later in the shadow of San Francisco's Angel Island -- stark reminders that this country was built by immigrants, something we shouldn't forget now as Congress is debating comprehensive immigration reform. Our nation deserves a policy that respects the dignity of each individual, treats people fairly, and helps keep families together. And I'm hopeful that the bill moving through the Senate right now will help get that done. But we're not letting up until Congress does the right thing. I hope to see you in Jersey City on Wednesday: http://my.barackobama.com/Nuns-on-the-Bus Thank you, Sister Simone Campbell ---------------- A movement of millions elected President Obama.
