Friday, June 21st: Watch The Dream is Now in Brooklyn

Organizing for Action
Joe --

As the Senate starts to debate comprehensive immigration reform, one of the groups the opposition is focusing on is the DREAMers -- the children of undocumented immigrants who were brought to this country as kids and are Americans in nearly every way except for on paper.

This month, the House passed a bill that would effectively deport them.

These DREAMers' stories show in real ways how we need to fix our broken immigration system.

OFA volunteers across the country are opening up their homes for free screenings of The Dream is Now, a powerful short documentary that tells the stories of four young DREAMers.

There's a screening on Friday, June 21st, in Brooklyn -- can you make it?

Yes, I can make it.

No, I can't make it, but I'd like to make a donation to support this movement.

What: The Dream is Now showing in Brooklyn

Where: 310 Malcolm X Blvd
Brooklyn, NY 11233

When: Friday, June 21st
7:00 pm

RSVP now

This inspiring film shows the strength and determination of the DREAMers, the struggles they've had to overcome, and what all of us can do to help.

These kids aren't asking for a free pass -- they're asking for the chance to go to school, work hard, and give back to the country they call home.

At the screening, you'll get a chance to talk to your neighbors and friends about ways to mobilize more support for passing immigration reform right now -- the Senate is debating the bill this month.

Be sure to catch the screening on Friday:

Let's keep it up.

Thanks,
