Joe -- Yesterday, House Speaker John Boehner went on national television and said that Congress "should not be judged on how many new laws we create," but rather on "how many laws ... we repeal." Speaker Boehner wants to take this country backward -- literally. Maybe that's why, instead of moving forward on comprehensive immigration reform last week, the House voted -- twice! -- to delay Obamacare, marking the 39th time they've tried to tear down health reform. I'm betting that's not why their constituents sent them to Washington -- but unless we show that Americans won't stand for that kind of cynicism, this will be business as usual for the House. All throughout the month of August, OFA supporters will be demanding action from Congress on the agenda that the American people voted for last fall. Can you support that work by chipping in $5 or more today? https://donate.barackobama.com/Support-Action-August Thanks, Jon Jon Carson Executive Director Organizing for Action P.S. -- Did you know that this Congress is on pace to become the least productive Congress ever -- no matter which measure John Boehner uses? That's why next month is so critical. Chip in today. | |
