Joe -- The EPA is poised to do something big to fight climate change -- and they need to hear from you. Around 40 percent of all carbon emissions come from power plants -- but until now, those emissions haven't been regulated by the federal government. New rules the EPA recently proposed would change that. Right now, the EPA is collecting comments from the public -- you should add your name to say you support these new rules to limit carbon emissions from power plants. There's little scientific debate anymore -- climate change is real, it is caused by humans, and we need to do all we can to combat it. President Obama has stepped up to address the problem. This summer, he laid out an ambitious plan to tackle the effects of climate change and make sure America leads the way in the move toward cleaner energy. These new rules on climate change are an important part of the plan. Many folks have already expressed support for these rules -- but there are some outside groups who are fighting back, making false claims about their impact on the economy. That's why it's so important that ordinary Americans speak out -- let the EPA know you support the proposed rules on power plant emissions today: http://my.barackobama.com/Support-the-Presidents-Climate-Plan Thanks, Ivan Ivan Frishberg Climate Campaign Manager Organizing for Action ---------------- The other side will spend millions to maintain the status quo.
