Joe -- Pop quiz: Why do House leaders keep sending mixed signals on immigration reform? Because thanks to the work of supporters like you, they know that silence isn't an option. House leadership has failed to move forward on immigration reform, and they're clearly starting to feel the cost of inaction. Our economy loses $37 million every day the House doesn't act. That's why we have to turn up the pressure. This Saturday in Chicago, OFA supporters are getting together to talk about the cost of inaction on immigration reform. Will you be there? Here are the details: What: Immigration reform event in Chicago Where: Halsted and 18th St. Chicago, IL 60608 When: Saturday, May 10th 10:00 am Recently, even Speaker Boehner took a moment to reiterate the need for action on immigration reform. He told a group of constituents in his district, "I've had every brick and bat and arrow shot at me over this issue just because I wanted to deal with it. I didn't say it was going to be easy." That's all fine and dandy to say, but it doesn't mean anything if it's not followed by actually holding a vote. Because if that vote happened today, we believe immigration reform would pass. That's what it comes down to -- if the House gets it together and brings reform to a vote, we can finally send a bill to President Obama's desk. We can't let up until that happens.
