Cisco singing a different ACI tune
Cisco’s Application Centric Infrastructure is SDN after all, the company now says. This, after claiming it was not SDN at last fall’s Interop conference in New York.At that time, Frank D’Agostino, senior vice president of technical marketing in Cisco’s Insieme Business Unit, described how ACI  is not SDN because of its focus on abstracting application policy for physical and virtual infrastructure vs. virtualizing the network infrastructure. Effectively, G.fast can send or receive data much faster than conventional DSL, though it can only do so over comparatively short distances, around 100 meters. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here Read More

Jeff Singman operates two brick-and-mortar specialty toy stores in New Jersey and has wanted to provide an ecommerce website as well. Singman says his two Toy Genius stores, which he co-owns with his wife, offer shoppers a high level of product knowledge and customer service to stand out from other toy sellers. Employees wear lab coats and demonstrate products for customers. Gift wrapping is free of charge. But Singman found it difficult to replicate that brand of white-glove service online.
