Joe -- Most Americans expect Congress to actually address the real issues we face as a country -- and there's no shortage of items on Speaker Boehner's to-do list. That's what makes his lawsuit against President Obama so absurd. We've heard from a lot of OFA supporters on this -- people are fed up. The funny thing is, that frustration is pretty common among members of Congress, too -- that's why it matters that the guy who can actually bring legislation to the floor hears it from regular people. So go for it -- leave a note for Speaker Boehner and tell him what you'd rather see the House work on right now. OFA volunteers will hand-deliver your notes to make sure he knows if he's going to play political games, he's going to get an earful from regular Americans across the country. Pretty much anything else would be more productive than the lawsuit the House leaders are planning to bring up. They could do something to create jobs or give working Americans a raise. He could simply hold a vote on the comprehensive immigration reform legislation that our country so desperately needs. But this Speaker of the House says things like, "We ought to be judged on how many laws we repeal" rather than legislation passed. And so far, he isn't doing very well at either. OFA's mission is to make sure the voices of real Americans don't get drowned out by the political games and interest groups in Washington. That's what these notes are all about -- we might not get a complete 180 out of John Boehner, but we will not be ignored.
