Stand with women: Call your senators today

Organizing for Action
Joe --

Last month, the Supreme Court ruled that some for-profit employers can refuse to cover contraception for women.

When the ruling came down, we told you that champions in Congress were drafting a legislative solution to fix what the Supreme Court just broke -- and now there's some great progress to share:

Senators Patty Murray and Mark Udall just introduced a bill called the Protect Women's Health from Corporate Interference Act, and we expect a vote as soon as tomorrow.

It's up to all of us who are fired up about this issue to make our voices heard before they vote.

Call your senators today to let them know you're standing with every champion who supports this bill -- and you're ready to call out anybody who votes against it. Once you've called, be sure to report back on how it goes.

Here's their contact information -- call now and tell them you support the Protect Women's Health from Corporate Interference Act:

     Senator Richard Durbin
     (202) 224-2152

     Senator Mark Kirk
     (202) 224-2854

Your boss shouldn't get to decide which prescriptions are covered in your health insurance.

The Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby ruling could have sweeping implications for women and families across the country -- this isn't just about contraception. It's about people's right to make their own health care decisions.

Before they cast their votes on this issue, call Senator Durbin and Senator Kirk today and tell them that supporting this bill matters because you -- not your boss -- should have the right to make your own health care decisions.

Then, so we can track our progress, make sure you report back on how your calls went:
