A Message from the Editor

Dear readers,

Today we can finally reveal the outcome of the 4-year, $500,000 lawsuit against LifeSiteNews, filed by self-professed 'pro-choice' priest Fr. Raymond Gravel.

Even after the untimely death of Fr. Gravel from lung cancer earlier this year, it took weeks to negotiate the conclusion of the case. But we can now announce that Fr. Gravel’s lawyer has formally dropped the case, and we have dropped our counter-suit. Read more about it in today’s article.

Though the case is over, we are still struggling under the extremely heavy financial burden that the case placed on us. All told we were forced to spend over $250,000 over four years defending ourselves from this absurd SLAPP suit – money we simply did not have to spare. Today, we need your help to get on firmer financial footing, so that we can refocus our energies and resources on our core mission – helping build a Culture of Life through professional pro-life and pro-family news reporting.

Please consider making a generous donation today, and help us make this difficult chapter in our history just a memory. Click here to donate.

And of course, a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to those who already have donated!

For life and family,

John-Henry Westen

Why we oppose the Canadian Senate's bill to legalize euthanasia

This bill gives physicians the power, in law, to directly and intentionally cause the death of their patients. When abused, the result is the death of a vulnerable Canadian. People need support and protection, not lethal injections.

They repeatedly told me how 'simple' it would be to abort the baby.
