An Internet civics lesson? The Pew Internet and American Life Project has just published the latest of its explorations on how the Internet is affecting us. The latest study confirms what many observers have assumed -- the Internet, or at least social Web sites, get more people involved in things political. Managing remote desktop management Remote desktop management is parts of the nuts and bolts of managing IT infrastructure. Mark Gibbs has found a product that makes managing your remote desktop management manageable. WAN Optimization: Cheap and Easy Does It In our just-completed WAN optimization survey we asked enterprises what is preventing them from implementing WAN optimization. "Too expensive" tops the list of purchase impediments, followed by "too complex" and "lack of staff." So the survey indicates that if WAN optimization were cheaper and easier to implement, it would be much more ubiquitous. Attend a conference on Virtualization... Virtually With all the talk we do about Virtualization and how efficient and cost effective it is for organizations. I guess it makes good sense to have a virtual conference. After awhile, CLI commands tend to run together and it's fun to be challenged in other ways. Long after I forget config'ing confederation in BGP, I will never forget these skills I learned over three days. I would highly recommend this class to anyone.
