HP will buy Palm for $1.2 billion

Palm has a buyer: HP. And a pricetag: $1.2 billion, or $5.70 per share of Palm common stock. HP announced today it will acquire the struggling smartphone maker, as part of HP's Personal Systems Group. The transaction has been approved by the HP and Palm boards of directors. Read full story
