Telepresence, video services key to keeping connected
Sometimes it takes unfortunate events to truly value technology. The volcano in Iceland froze air travel in Europe during the past week, affecting people all over the world who wanted to get into or out of Europe. Several technologies helped. People used mobile phones to call colleagues and families; laptops with wireless Internet access to book hotel rooms, conduct desktop video conferences, or simply to work; and indeed, business suites to conduct immersive telepresence sessions. Juniper attempts to lure new customers with the old switcheroo
Juniper Networks announced a program to discount its EX Series branch office switches by about 60% for new customers trading in old gear from "legacy" suppliers. The offer isn't open to folks who already own Juniper switches, though it is to Juniper customers of other products, like security, that haven't yet tried its switches. Read More
