The March issue of Storage Magazine published its 2013 Quality Awards for enterprise arrays across five main categories of Sales-force Competence, Initial Product Quality, Product Features, Product Reliability and Technical Support.
The annual awards are voted on by the publication's readers, who rank companies on a scale of 1.00 - 8.00.. Hitachi Data Systems' overall score of 6.78 is the highest ever registered in the eight year awards history, and it's only the second time a vendor has swept all five categories (HDS swept the categories several years ago as well!)
Hitachi Data Systems also "set new highs" in Sales-force Competence, Product Reliability and Technical Support:
- HDS dominated the Sales-force Competence category, with top scores for knowledgeable sales support teams and reps who are well-versed regarding their customers' industries.
- Our score of 7.00 in the Product Reliability category was the highest score a vendor has ever received in any category. HDS swept all five "statements" in this category and scored even higher than 7.00 in the areas of limiting downtime and meeting service-level requirements. (Note: HDS enterprise products evaluated were USP/USP V/VSP Series.)
- HDS received the highest score ever in the Technical Support category. We ranked #1 in 7 of 8 statements ,including delivering support as promised, taking ownership of problems and for having knowledgeable support personnel.
