Saturday: Immigration Reform Day of Action in Staten Island

Action August
Joe --

August has been incredible for anyone who cares about comprehensive immigration reform.

Since our first Day of Action on August 5th, several members of the House have come out in favor of reform.

That's nothing to sneeze at -- if anyone was wondering, that's what momentum looks like. Thanks for being a part of it.

But we're not done. As August wraps up, we're sending Congress back to Washington with a clear message: It's time to get the job done on immigration reform.

So this Saturday, we're holding our next Day of Action for comprehensive immigration reform. There's an event in Staten Island -- can you make it?

Yes, I'm in.

No, I can't make it that day, but I care about this work, and I'll make a donation to support this movement

Here are the details:

What: Comprehensive immigration reform Day of Action in Staten Island

Where: 1150 Clove Rd.
Staten Island, NY 10301

When: Saturday, August 31st
1:00 pm

RSVP now

I think it's safe to say we've already made our voices heard loud and clear in August. This Day of Action is one of the last times this month we'll be able to show members of Congress, while they're home in their districts, that the majority of Americans support comprehensive immigration reform.

Throughout August, we've shown that immigration reform isn't a partisan issue. Republican and Democratic lawmakers are willing to come together to pass the comprehensive reform they know is needed in this country -- and they need to know we're going to have their backs when they do.

For the folks who still need our nudging, we'll be out there this Saturday to make sure they know where their constituents stand.

The more people Congress hears from now, the more likely that they'll head back to Washington feeling the pressure to act.
