| | January 08, 2015 | | On Today's Program Glenn spent a lot of time on radio this morning talking about the terrorist attack in France, and the importance of free speech, even when it's uncomfortable speech. While he strongly disagreed with the content of the cartoons that provoked a terror attack resulting in the death of 12 people, he believed that you have a right to mock images. They might be offensive, they might even be despicable, but it doesn't mean they should be censored. To illustrate his point, he showed the front page of the magazine on the radio show. MORE
Comedian Conan O'Brien opened his show last night with a powerful and important message in the wake of the terror attacks on Charlie Hebdo. Many in America take for granted that we enjoy freedom of speech. Glenn kicked off the radio show this morning standing by a very strange bedfellow, prominent atheist Richard Dawkins. Last night, Dawkins tweeted out "No, all religions are not equally violent." Glenn has made a point in the past of standing with people whose viewpoints revolve around common sense and truth, even when he wouldn't necessarily agree with them all the time. It was in that spirit that he supported Richard's comments. READ

In fact, one of the most transformative experiences of his life came from reading a book he didn't agree with. On radio this morning, Glenn explained why he would never tell someone to avoid a book.
