Some of the best network security applications available are open source- Ethereal, NMap, Nessus, Snort, etc. Last week it was announced however that the next version of Nessus will no longer be released under the open source licensing and Snort was purchased by Checkpoint. Is this a sign of things to come for open source software? The Internet / Network Security Forums have been completely revised with a new look and feel that is easier to navigate and use. Check out the posting in the Forums about erasing hard drive data for a sneak peek and be sure to frequent the Forums to ask questions, answer questions or just learn from other users' questions and answers.
