Cow Mutilations, Triangle Sightings, Bird Extinctions, & Stonehenge Discoveries:

On Thursday's show, Earthfiles investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed more bizarre and bloodless cow mutilations, sightings of triangular UFOs, possible bird species extinctions, and the new discovery of mounds and structures at Stonehenge. In September 2014, Angus breeder Alex Peterson discovered a strange, bloodless mutilation of one of his finest pregnant cows (approximately one year earlier, he was shocked to find five of his cattle bloodlessly mutilated in the same part of his ranch). Two of the cow's dewclaws were neatly, bloodlessly excised provoking a vet who looked at her to say no predator was capable of such precise and bloodless "surgery." Alex's neighbor admitted he's had four mutilations and one was dropped on the top of a high pile of broken cement. She spoke with ranch hand Michael Knight who described seeing a bright beam of light shining down from the sky that appeared to have a black object in it, which might have been an animal.

In her second report, Linda detailed a sighting earlier this month by Green Bay, Wisconsin resident David Hooker who was amazed to see a gigantic isosceles triangle of orange lights nearly still in the night sky. Over several minutes, he took photos of the whole pattern and close-ups of the orange glowing triangle corners. She chatted with UFO historian David Marler, the author of Triangular UFOs, who looked at Hooker's images and said it's one of the classic huge triangle patterns of orange lights over the years in which some estimates have gone as large as 1.8 to 2 miles long, as in the 1997 case of the Phoenix Lights. Marler described other significant silent, large triangular aircraft encounters that go back as far as the 1800s.

The Audubon Society announced in early September 2014 that a 7-year-long study of all bird species in North America indicates that 314 species, including the Bald Eagle and ten other state birds, could face extinction by the middle of the 21st century as climate changes faster than birds can cope in the stress of finding new habitats, and building nests for chicks that hatch when there is no viable food. She interviewed Gary Langham, Ph.D., Vice President and Chief Scientist at the National Audubon Society, who noted that the Bald Eagle could lose 75% of its range because of climate change, and in general we could be looking at a greatly lowered species diversity.

A 4-year study of the ancient, mysterious Stonehenge site in England with deep ground penetrating radar, magnetometers, lasers and other instruments has revealed that not only are there remnants of wood beams below Stonehenge underground that could be 6,000 years old, but that the landscape around Stonehenge has nearly two dozen mounds and other ancient structures that no one knew were there. One feature is directly linked with Stonehenge at the Summer Solstice dawn and sunset reinforcing the hypothesis that the whole Stonehenge complex functioned as a monitor of the sun, moon and stars. She spoke with Prof. Vince Gaffney from the Univ. of Birmingham in England who investigated the newly discovered ancient monuments and structures.

Symposium: Preparing for ETs:

In the first hour, writer and reporter Lee Speigel talked about NASA's recent efforts to prepare for the discovery of extraterrestrial life. Taking place at the Library of Congress, NASA hosted a symposium featuring scientists, historians, philosophers, and theologians from around the world to discuss the implications of ET life, which is seeming ever more likely with the increasing number of extrasolar planets being identified. Speigel expressed surprise that the symposium didn't garner much mainstream media coverage. More on the event here.
Today in Strangeness:

The RMS Queen Mary was launched on this date in 1934. After the ocean liner was permanently docked in Long Beach, California reports of ghosts and paranormal activity emerged. The most haunted section of the ship is said to be the engine room where a young sailor was crushed to death.

Coast to Coast AM Schedule 9.26.14 - 10.3.14:

Here's what's coming up in the next week!

Friday, September 26, 2014: Filling in for George, Richard Syrett will welcome Epoch Times reporter Tara MacIssac, who will discuss the IANDS 2014 conference in California (on near-death experiences) and why she has come away believing that NDEs are not only real but prove 'the light' is waiting for us all (related article). Followed by Open Lines.

Saturday, September 27, 2014:  At every turn, it seems, living things are trying to eat us, poison us, use our bodies as their homes, or have us spread their eggs. Professor of Biology and host of Animal Planet's "Monsters Inside Me," Dan Riskin, joins host Richard Syrett to share jaw-dropping examples that illuminate how brutal nature can truly be. From slothful worms that hide in your body for up to thirty years to wrathful snails with poisonous harpoons. In the first hour, investigative journalist Jon Rappoport will discuss the CDC whistleblower who admitted he left out vital data in a vaccine study.

6-10pm PT: Art Bell - Somewhere in Time returns to 4/25/01, when Deek Richards recounted his military story out of Germany with a recovered craft and alien bodes, and James Gilliland from ECETI talked about extensive UFO footage.

Sunday, September 28, 2014:  Not only have the FBI and CIA investigated UFOs, but both agencies have actively tried to conceal this from the public. Dr. Bruce Maccabee, U.S. Navy research physicist, joins George Knapp to discuss how these agencies collected information which, when combined with evidence collected by Air Force Intelligence, proves that at least some UFOs are interplanetary craft. In the first hour, Billy Cox, a journalist for the Heard Tribune in Sarasota, FL, who writes about UFOs in the De Void Blog, talks about his extensive research into UFOs and why there's still a stigma attached to believing.

Monday, September 29, 2014: Author and consumer activist Jeffrey Smith will discuss the breaking news surrounding the debate around GMO crops and foods and their potential health hazards. He'll cover the tactics used by US agents to threaten countries who refuse biotechnology, and silence scientists. Hosted by George Noory.

Tuesday, September 30, 2014:  First Half: Political commentator and economist John Lott discusses his latest work detailing how intelligence has now become a liability for judicial nominees. Smarter judges, feared by their political opposition, are more frequently failing their confirmation proceedings resulting in reduced quality and intelligence of the judiciary, he argues. Followed by theoretical archaeo-astronomer Walter Cruttenden who'll address how ancient ideas about our solar system being tied to another star may have significant influence over the rise and fall of civilizations. He'll explain how recent astronomical discoveries point to a new understanding of our solar system that is more in line with ancient thinking. Hosted by George Noory.

Wednesday, October 1, 2014: Paranormal investigator Theresa Argie and journalist Eric Olsen will be sharing stories from their years of delving into hauntings and the paranormal. As they describe the terror surrounding some of the nation's most haunted houses, they'll play EVP recordings, which could be tangible evidence of souls living on past their physical bodies. First hour guest, talk radio host Jimmy Church covers UFOs, the paranormal, fringe science and lost civilizations. He'll discuss his work researching and breaking the story about the Malibu deep underwater base earlier this year. Hosted by George Noory.

Thursday, October 2, 2014: Author and researcher Robert Damon Schneck will discuss the lengths he's gone to sleuthing out the forgotten, weird, grotesque, and mysterious gems of American history which include stories of Ouija board séances, Bigfoot, Antichrist obsessed cult leaders, blood-swilling health fanatics, poltergeists and clowns abducting children. Hosted by George Noory.

Friday, October 3, 2014: Spiritual psychic Angela Moore, who is also known as the Hillbilly Psychic, will talk about the process she uses to tap into the energies around her, including other dimensions. She'll describe what she is seeing and feeling via communications from spirits, past lives, guides, alien beings, and her visions of future events. Followed by Open Lines in the latter half. Hosted by George Noory.
