A Message from the Editor

Dear readers,

There have been an unusual number of major news stories this week.

Jeanne Smits’ exclusive interview with Cardinal Burke and his exposure of the manipulations that took place at the Synod on the Family is being noted by many others on the Internet. The giant pro-life march in Lima, Peru on Saturday was historic. Cardinals Mueller and Koch have made some unusually blunt corrective statements to counteract the growing chaos in the Church over reckless public statements by other Catholic bishops. There is an astonishing exclusive story coming tomorrow regarding Nigeria and the Obama administration.

In Canada, there's a lot of craziness happening regarding the imposition of pro-homosexual and sexually abusive sex-ed programs for all students down to the very young and a rapidly growing pattern of suppression of the rights and freedoms of Christians and others who value traditional principles.

As for the LifeSite Spring Campaign, $127,000 is still needed just to keep LifeSite going for the next quarter, so we will be ramping up the campaign for these last few days. Last month we experienced record traffic of over 8 million pages viewed. Our goal is therefore not at all unreasonable for such a significant international news service. It takes a lot of staff and expenses to deliver the high quality, crucial reports that you read every day. (You can donate here if you haven't yet done so.)

God bless,
