 Hosts Joel Sturgis and Eric Olsen welcome Amy Allan, astonishing psychic medium and co-star of Travel Channel's THE DEAD FILES, to After Hours AM!
In season seven of THE DEAD FILES, which launched last Saturday at 10pE/P, former NYC homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi and psychic medium Amy Allan head back out onto the road to help frightened and beleaguered homeowners as they uncover the histories and mysteries buried within an all-new set of allegedly haunted locations.
Keeping with their unique and wildly successful formula, DiSchiavi and Allan investigate each case independently of one another to preserve the integrity of their individual findings. As a physical medium, Allan sees and communicates with the dead, uncovering layers of paranormal activity and often identifying individual spirits attached to the location.
Harnessing his detective skills, DiSchiavi researches each case in a more traditional manner, interrogating witnesses, local experts and historians, and perusing records to piece together a location's history, however dark or buried it may be. They avoid all contact with each other until the end of each case, when they reveal their shocking discoveries to the homeowner in each episode's intense conclusion.
Drawing upon her experiences with the paranormal, Allan then provides much-needed advice to each client in an effort to help them reclaim a sense of normalcy within their lives.
After launching season seven last Saturday with an excursion to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the pair will range through New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, and Illinois in the coming weeks in their ongoing effort to help to homeowners with paranormal problems.
Paranormal researcher and physical medium Amy Allan uses her abilities to communicate with the dead, often assuming their roles and reliving their deaths. Amy's interest in paranormal phenomena began at age 4, when she says she was tormented by "shadow people" in her Arvada, CO, home. Since then, she's been on a journey to unravel the mysteries of the unexplained.
Allan's amazing abilities have been studied and tested by leading parapsychologists and have been borne out over the six previous seasons of THE DEAD FILES. She has worked with private investigators and police agencies and has conducted more than 350 investigations in both private homes and businesses. Amy studied psychology at the University of Arizona and was mentored by world-renowned parapsychologist William Roll.
 Journeying into some of the bleakest available locations, including decommissioned psychiatric hospitals and disused prisons, Canadian artist James Picard's sensitive energies tap into the well of emotional injuries that haunt the corridors of these empty edifices to produce deeply moving and sometimes disturbing work....

Career media professional and serial entrepreneur Eric Olsen has an enviable track record of quality, leadership, influence, and success. Olsen dove into his radio career at age 14; helped run his college radio station at Wittenberg University; created and hosted the syndicated alternative music radio and TV show Cool Tunes in the '90s; and was a pioneer of Internet radio in the '00s, creating and hosting the most listened-to show in BlogTalkRadio history, Storytellers.
He also helped create and hosted the magazine TV show Eye on Southbay, and was music critic on the FOX 8 Morning Show in Cleveland. Switching to the Internet, in 2002, Olsen founded online magazine Blogcritics.org, the multiple award‐winning "sinister cabal of superior bloggers," which he led to great heights and sold to Technorati in 2008.
Olsen then conceived and supervised the creation of a vibrant original content organization for Technorati.com in 2009 and 2010 before co-founding The Morton Report in 2011.
He is founder of the America's Most Haunted brand and co-author of the AMH book (Berkley/Penguin 9/30/14). Olsen is also the author of NETWORKING IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY and THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RECORD PRODUCERS.
In 2012 he returned to live music and has been guitarist/singer for popular and crazy Cleveland cover band The Props.
Joel Sturgis has been in the radio business for many years and has hosted such hit shows as ZTALK Live & AIR STRIKE RADIO and now AFTER HOURS AM. He has interviewed the biggest names from the world of the Paranormal & Entertainment and many in between. Joel also has a deep interest of all things paranormal and loves a good horror movie!
Theresa Argie "The Haunted Housewife" is a seasoned storyteller, para-historian, researcher, and ghost hunter who has finally found a way to make being "the weird one" work to her advantage.
