Let's hear it for these 31 senators

Last night, 31 senators led an overnight session for one reason: to urge Congress to wake up and do something about climate change.

It was a marathon of powerful speeches that ran all the way till morning.

We think that's awesome. When as many as 139 members of Congress publicly deny the science behind climate change, it's good to be reminded that there are true leaders in Washington working hard alongside us.

As long as there are so many climate change deniers standing in the way, we can't expect to make real progress on this issue.

The better we do our jobs to call out denial and talk about the scientific consensus on climate change, the harder it's going to be for those 139 members of Congress to be taken seriously on it.

And those senators who took a stand last night are leading the charge.
