On Today's Program

This man had been drinking since six in the morning before reaching out for help. Glenn gave him the same advice that had saved his own life.
Things got very serious and emotional on radio this morning when a listener reached out looking for answers. Ed from Massachusetts called into the show looking for help and guidance in his struggle with alcoholism. Ed had just quit his job as a bus driver because his withdrawal symptoms had endangered the kids. Glenn, a recovering alcoholic himself, did his best to put Ed on the right path, discussing how faith helped save his life and asking Ed to get himself to an Alcoholic Anonymous meeting as soon as possible. Miracles don't have to be the parting of the Red Sea, do not dismiss coincidence
After a phone call with a listener in need of help, Glenn went into a discussion of faith and miracles. As the guys pointed out on radio, not every miracle is going to look like the parting of the Red Sea. It could just be a series of seeming coincidences that lead you to be exactly where you need to be. LISTEN

Something amazing happened on election night, and you may not have realized it
On Tuesday, Mia Love and Tim Scott, both black and both Republican, were elected to the national office. These were historic wins. Barely the legal age to hold her new office, Mia Love became the first black female Republican elected to Congress on Tuesday. Tim Scott became the first black Senator from either party to be elected in the South since Reconstruction. Before Wednesday morning, did you know either of those facts? Believe it or not, the fact that we just started talking about the historical significance of these wins is a really, really good thing. WATCH

President Obama reacted to the election results with the absolute height of arrogance
There are only so many ways to interpret the mindset of the American people in the wake of the midterm elections. Fed up with Washington? Yes. A rejection of President Obama's agenda? Absolutely. A desire to get new blood into our leadership? Definitely. A sign that President Obama should just start governing by executive order? Ummmm, no. The opposite actually. But apparently President Obama didn't get the message – his comments on the election are downright terrifying to anyone who believes in liberty and the rule of law. MORE

"Ebola, ISIS, tragic shootings... empty shelves and no ammo left. None of your survival planning matters if you can't protect yourself and your family from what's dead ahead. I've repeatedly said this is the [Best] weapon to end violence. Here's how you can get it (even though it's been banned)."

Dreamers & Deceivers: The genius of Desi Arnaz
There are plenty of incredible stories in Dreamers and Deceivers, but few mean as much to Glenn as the story of Desi Arnaz. Many know him as Ricky Ricardo on I Love Lucy, but few may know his incredible story. This is a man who literally changed the way television was done, and his influence is still felt decades later. He invented the rerun and the three-camera shoot, as well as producing several classic shows. He and his wife Lucille Ball also broke barriers by being the first interracial couple on television. On radio this morning, Glenn discussed the legacy of this incredibly important figure in American history. MORE

"Below you will find a small part of my Mom's incredible journey with Glioblastoma, the same cancer that Brittany Maynard had. As long as you are still breathing there is still hope."
