Obama's Trust-Me Approach Is a Dud With Dems Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday said he's hopeful the House will pass legislation this month granting President Obama fast-track trade powers, but said the votes aren't there yet. Not too surprising since, The Hill is reporting, the president apparently can't sell his own bill to his own party. Seems Obama's trust-me approach is falling flat with Dems without further assurances that the deal will protect American jobs.
