Reviewing The Declaration of Independence in modern times
Every July 4th I take some time to re-read the document that announced to King George III and the world that we would no longer tolerate the oppression of a tyrannical government. This year, I thought it might be interesting to interweave modern events into the text as a tool to help my children understand the viewpoint of the original colonists.
