Deadline: Midnight

Organizing for Action
Joe --

We're all proud of how far we've come together. This movement has proven it can truly make history.

But you're a part of OFA -- and you're getting these emails -- not because of the fights we've won before, but because of what you believe we can still win if we fight for it.

That's what I'm asking you to do right now -- before our critical fundraising deadline at midnight, make sure you chip in $5 or more to support this work.

According to our records associated with this exact email address:

-- OFA 2013 founding member: Pending
     -- Suggested donation: $5

We've got a lot left on our to-do list, and I'm sure each of us has our own reason why we're not done fighting for change.

OFA doesn't take money from lobbyists, corporations, or special interests. What we can do together is up to what people like you chip in to support.

It's not the easy way, but it's the right one. And it only works if each of us does our part and chips in at times like this.

Donate $5 or more before our critical fundraising deadline at midnight tonight:

https://donate.barackobama.com/Deadline-Midnight

Thanks so much for everything you've done this year -- and I can't wait to see what we can do in 2014.

Jon

Executive Director
Organizing for Action

P.S. -- Remember: If you chip in before midnight, you'll be automatically entered to win a chance to attend OFA's birthday celebration in Washington, D.C. Don't miss out -- chip in $5 or whatever you can today.

----------------
If you've made a donation in the last 24 hours that isn't reflected above, don't worry -- it may still be processing. Thanks for your support.

No purchase, payment, or contribution necessary to enter to win. Void where prohibited. Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on December 31st, 2013. You may enter by contributing to the Sponsor here. Alternatively, visit here to enter without contributing. Two winners will receive the following prize package: round trip tickets for winner and one guest from within the fifty United States, DC or Puerto Rico to Washington, D.C.; hotel accommodations for winner and one guest; tickets for winner and one guest to the OFA Anniversary Party (approximate combined retail value of all prizes $985.) Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received. Promotion open to all U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law). Promotion subject to Official Rules and additional restrictions on eligibility. Sponsor: Organizing for Action, 224 N. Desplaines St., Suite 5000, Chicago, IL 60661.

Democrats
Tomorrow is the last day of 2013, Joe, and it looks like you haven't donated to Democrats yet this year:

YOUR 2013 ONLINE SUPPORTER RECORD (click here to update)
NAME: Joe
EMAIL: securityworld@gmail.com
2013 DONATIONS: $0

If you've given to the DNC in the past few days, by mail, or from a different email address than the one above, then I apologize if my information isn't up-to-date -- and thank you for your support.

But if you haven't, you can still get your support on the record in 2013 by donating $3 right now.

Three bucks may not seem like much, but I can tell you that those contributions add up -- and they make a much bigger difference at the start of the year than they do in October.

So don't miss your chance to support Democrats for the start of 2014. Donate $3 (or more, if you can) before tomorrow's deadline:

https://my.democrats.org/Deadline-2013

Thanks,

Amanda

Joe: It says here you're not yet a donor

Organizing for Action
Joe --

Tomorrow's a critical fundraising deadline for us -- and that means we're counting on folks like you to hop on board and own a piece of the work we're doing.

According to our records associated with this exact email address, here's your record of support:

-- OFA 2013 founding member: Pending
     -- Suggested donation: $5

You can change that in just a minute. Chip in $5 or more before midnight tomorrow to become an OFA 2013 founding member.

Joe, there are folks who are actively trying to stand in the way of every little bit of progress we seek -- and they will always have all the money they need.

We can't say the same, and luckily we don't need to. We rely on grassroots support from people who, like you, care about making real, lasting change.

We've got huge plans for 2014 -- but it's got to be a team effort.

Do your part -- chip in $5 or more right now:

https://donate.barackobama.com/Deadline-December-31st

Thanks,

Organizing for Action

P.S. -- Wait, there's more! Your donation today automatically enters you for a free trip to D.C. for you and a guest to come help OFA celebrate its birthday next month.

[SECURITY] [DSA 2830-1] ruby-i18n security update

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Debian Security Advisory DSA-2830-1 security@debian.org
http://www.debian.org/security/ Florian Weiemr
December 30, 2013 http://www.debian.org/security/faq
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Package : ruby-i18n
Vulnerability : cross-site scripting
Problem type : remote
Debian-specific: no
CVE ID : CVE-2013-4492

Peter McLarnan discovered that the internationalization component of
Ruby on Rails does not properly encode parameters in generated HTML
code, resulting in a cross-site scripting vulnerability. This update
corrects the underlying vulnerability in the i18n gem, as provided by
the ruby-i18n package.

The oldstable distribution (squeeze) is not affected by this problem;
the libi18n-ruby package does not contain the vulnerable code.

For the stable distribution (wheezy), this problem has been fixed in
version 0.6.0-3+deb7u1.

For the unstable distribution (sid), this problem has been fixed in
version 0.6.9-1.

We recommend that you upgrade your ruby-i18n packages.

We need to hit 30,000 before tomorrow's deadline

Organizing for Action
Joe --

Do you hear that?

That's the sound of the clock ticking on the fundraising deadline -- and my foot nervously tapping as I monitor the progress we're making toward our grassroots goal.

We've crunched the numbers, and here's how it's looking right now. We need about 30,000 donations before midnight to get to where we need to be.

That's nuts, you might say. It is (in a good way), but just think of it this way: It breaks down to just a few supporters in your neighborhood.

I believe you can help with that right now: Donate $5 or more before our deadline tomorrow night.

It's no exaggeration to say that we wouldn't exist without your continued support.

You've been there from the very start -- step-by-step -- fighting for what you believe in. That dedication doesn't just make our grassroots organizing possible -- it makes it effective.

So thanks for being part of this in 2013.

Now, I hope you'll finish it by blowing through our ambitious fundraising goal.

Chip in $5 or more before our critical fundraising deadline tomorrow at midnight:

https://donate.barackobama.com/Deadline-December-31st

Thanks,

Grant

P.S. -- Two more great reasons to chip in right now: You'll be automatically entered for a free trip to D.C. for you and a guest to come celebrate OFA's birthday next month.

AND... you'll be honored on OFA's donor wall, where we're proudly displaying the grassroots support we're getting before our fundraising deadline. Don't wait -- donate today.
